About Us
It started with our youngest son. As a baby, he had small dry patches on his skin that wouldn't quite go away. We searched for something we could trust - something clean, simple, and made with ingredients we could actually understand. What we found wasn't good enough. Petroleum derivatives, synthetic fragrance, cheap oils that clog pores. Even products marketed as natural were often full of palm and coconut oil.
So we made it ourselves.
We had been using tallow in our kitchen for years. Sara began researching its properties and discovered that combined with the right oils, it could do something remarkable for skin. We experimented - blending grass-fed tallow with carefully chosen organic oils, batch after batch, until we found a formula that truly worked. The patches disappeared. His skin became soft again. And we felt something settle - the quiet confidence of knowing exactly what we were putting on our child, and why it worked.
Talga wasn't born as a business idea. It was born from a mother's refusal to accept "good enough" when it came to her child's skin. We now make Talga for more than just our family. But the intention has never changed: real skincare that respects the body, nature, and your intelligence as a consumer.
Our love for Northern Norway runs through everything we make - including our use of grass-fed tallow sourced from Lofoten. We hope your skin feels the difference.
